- Over 20 critical videos have been posted by Fong about the Celsius Network collapse.
A court filing by Celsius Network reveals the intention of the bankrupt crypto lender to initiate legal action against the renowned crypto blogger Tiffany Fong over leaking internal information. Fong shared a screenshot of a financial statement containing 51 different parties on Celsius Network’s list, of which she was the only individual among corporate entities.
Fong has been one of the focal characters of the Celsius collapse, actively reporting unfolding events on the bankruptcy case via her YouTube channel and other social platforms. On several occasions, she has shared leaked internal information that she claims to receive from disgruntled insiders at the defunct company.
In the shared statement, Celsius’s counsel submitted that it had 77 billable hours, equivalent to $72,476, on an invoice linked to “Tiffany Fong Litigation.”
While sharing details of the statement, Fong also revealed that she has roughly $119,000 worth of crypto assets locked in Celsius. According to a screenshot she shared, her portfolio with the network contains $94,568 worth of BTC, $24,306 worth of ETH, and $439 worth of MATIC.
Fong has reportedly posted over 20 critical videos about Celsius Network since June 2022, after the crypto lender went bankrupt, leaving users stranded over locked funds.
According to reports, her postings over the Celsius Network debacle were originally unintended. She only sought to express her frustration over lost funds over the Celsius collapse. Incidentally, a few tweets from a frustrated customer have snowballed into a media campaign. Her activities have attracted attention from the media, and even U.S. politicians, including a mention of her interview with Sam Bankman-Fried (SBF) at the U.S. Congress.
There is no confirmation of legal action yet by Celsius against Fong. However, the filing shows that Celsius’ legal counsel was looking into the leaked information Fong reported using her social media accounts.
